The Driftwood Inn Bed and Breakfast offers a gorgeous view up Cayuga Lake from
the north shore at Sheldrake, the halfway point on the west side of the lake.
Our Bed and Breakfast has great accommodations for an ideal vacation, whether
it's a weekend get-away or an extended stay. We enjoy 260 feet of private
beach for swimming, boating, and fishing, and our dock extends 100 feet from
shore to accommodate all types of lake craft.
We are located in the center of the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York,
within easy driving distance of
Cornell University,
Ithaca College, Corning Glass, Taughannock Falls, and many other places of interest.
We are also in the heart of the Cayuga Wine Trail, home of many award-winning
wineries. Within walking distance of the Driftwood is
Sheldrake Point Vineyard and Café, which enjoys a scenic lakefront location adjacent to a gracious neighborhood
of small estates in the heart of the Cayuga Wine Trail. The café's
wine-inspired cuisine features creative appetizers, tapas, sandwiches, light
fare,
and seasonal dinner entrees. When you return from your daily tours, relax on our wrap-around
porch, sit back, sip some wine, and enjoy the beautiful sunset.
Anyone who likes to walk or bike will enjoy wandering on the roads along the
lake, or exploring the interesting ravines nearby. For golfers we have many
challenging courses for you to play, including Seneca Falls, Trumansburg, or
Bona Vista.
